2.2 Information collected automatically

Session & security data — login sessions, CSRF tokens, and security-related logs needed to keep accounts safe.
Homepage visit analytics — IP address, approximate device type (e.g. mobile / desktop), and visit date/time when the homepage is loaded. Admins use aggregated analytics (daily / monthly / device breakdown).
Auction view counts — when someone opens an auction detail page, we may increment a total view counter for that listing (shown to owners and admins).
Technical data — browser type, basic request metadata, and error logs for reliability and abuse prevention.
Cookies — essential cookies for login sessions and “remember me” (if enabled). These are required for the site to function.

3. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your account, including email verification and password resets.
Operate auctions: listing approval, bidding, winner flows, and owner completion.
Show location-based listing details and browse filters.

5. Payments

If listing fees or other paid features are enabled, payment processing may be handled by third-party providers. BidBaazar does not store full payment-card details on our servers when those providers handle checkout. Off-site settlement between winners and owners is private to those parties.

6. Data Retention

We keep account and auction records for as long as needed to operate the marketplace, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain security logs. You may request account-related assistance via support; some records may be retained where required for fraud prevention or law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices such as hashed passwords, CSRF protection, session controls, and access restrictions on sensitive folders. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password.

8. Your Choices

Update profile information from your account pages where available.
Change your password from the security settings page.
Contact us to ask questions about your data or to request support regarding your account.
You may stop using the service; note that public auction history and legal records may remain as needed for platform integrity.

9. Children’s Privacy

BidBaazar is not directed at children. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. International / Local Context

BidBaazar is operated for users in Bangladesh. Data is processed on servers provided by our hosting provider. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed in the locations where those servers operate.
