Welcome to BidBaazar, an online auction marketplace operated for buyers (bidders) and sellers (auction owners) in Bangladesh. By creating an account, browsing listings, placing bids, or listing auctions on BidBaazar, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About the Platform
BidBaazar provides a digital marketplace where:
- Auction owners create and manage auction listings.
- Bidders browse approved auctions and place competitive bids.
- Administrators review listings, manage users, and support the platform.
BidBaazar is a technology platform. We facilitate discovery and bidding. We are not a party to the final sale contract between a winning bidder and an auction owner unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- At registration you choose one role: Bidder or Auction Owner. A single account cannot be both.
- You must verify your email address before using restricted features.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- We may suspend or permanently block accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or are involved in fraud.
3. Auction Listings (Auction Owners)
- Listings require accurate titles, descriptions, photos, category, and location (Division, District, Upazilla).
- New listings are submitted for admin approval. Only approved auctions become publicly available for bidding.
- By default, listing on BidBaazar may be free. If a listing fee is enabled by admin settings, payment (if required) must be completed before submission according to the on-screen instructions.
- You must have the legal right to sell every item you list.
- Misleading photos, fake starting prices, or prohibited items may result in rejection, removal, or account action.
4. Bidding (Bidders)
- All bids placed on BidBaazar are binding. Do not bid unless you intend to complete the purchase if you win.
- Bids must follow the platform’s minimum increment and current price rules.
- You may report suspicious or fraudulent auctions using the report feature where available.
- Shill bidding, bid manipulation, or using multiple accounts to influence an auction is strictly prohibited.
5. Auction Close, Winners & Settlement
- When an auction ends, the highest valid bid typically becomes the winning bid, subject to platform rules and admin/owner actions.
- The auction owner may start a winner notification / contact window (including a time-limited contact period such as 24 hours, as shown in the product).
- If a winner fails to respond or complete arrangements within the allowed window, the owner may disqualify that winner under the platform’s rules. Disqualification may include blocking the user and related access where applicable, and the next-highest eligible bidder may be promoted.
- Payment and delivery of goods are arranged privately between the auction owner and the winning bidder (off-site settlement). BidBaazar does not hold buyer–seller funds in escrow by default and is not responsible for shipping, courier delays, or cash-on-delivery disputes unless a separate paid service is expressly offered later.
- Auction owners should mark auctions as complete when the deal is finished.
6. Fees
BidBaazar may operate without charging listing or bidding fees. Any fee that applies will be shown clearly in the product (for example, admin-configured listing fees). Third-party payment providers (if used) may apply their own charges.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post illegal, stolen, counterfeit, or restricted items.
- Harass users, spam, or attempt to bypass security controls.
- Scrape, attack, or reverse-engineer the platform.
- Upload malware or abuse upload features.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or goods.
8. Content & Intellectual Property
You retain rights to content you upload, but grant BidBaazar a licence to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the marketplace. BidBaazar branding, software, and site design remain our property.
9. Support
BidBaazar does not provide in-site chat between users. Support is handled through the contact / support ticket form. Admins may reply by email. For urgent account issues, use Contact Us.
10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in Bangladesh, BidBaazar is not liable for losses arising from deals between users, item condition disputes, failed private settlements, third-party payment outages, or temporary service interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BidBaazar after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes may also be communicated by email or on-site notice.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Bangladesh, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
